Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry

  • 3 Tbsp Excella Sunflower oil
  • 500g beef stir fry strips
  • ½ head of broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger, minced
  • ¼ cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp corn starch
  • 1 tsp brown sugar


1. Heat up the Excella Sunflower oil in a wok and add the beef strips, cooking quickly until nicely browned on the outside and cooked to the level you like. Remove from the wok.

2. Add the broccoli and cook for a minute or so before adding the onion. Add the garlic and ginger once the onion is translucent, and move around the pan quickly so that they don’t burn.

3. Separately, mix the corn starch, brown sugar and soy sauce together and add to the wok. Then add the beef and mix around until everything is combined. Leave simmering for a couple of minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken, and then serve with rice.
